Your actions determine the consequences. I know this may sound like the start of a sermon but it isn’t. However this phrase best summarises the meaning of The Law of Attraction. You may have heard it many times before, that you attract what you put your thoughts and emotions behind. While this is the most popular law, it is important to understand that it only works as part of a network of The 12 Universal Laws, and this article breaks down this connection in simple terms to help you know how to apply The 12 Universal Laws to enhance The Law of Attraction effectively.
Understanding the Universal Laws
It is human nature to mainly rely on things you can see, feel, taste, touch or hear, but there are other profound factors that influence your everyday life. And it’s not being aware of this fact that leads to struggles, unfulfilled destiny or lack of direction and pain in various aspects of your life. Here is a breakdown of how to live by The 12 Universal Laws in order to benefit more from your life.
The 12 Universal Laws Simplified
As you read through this, you will notice that all these spiritual laws of the Universe interconnect so intricately.
1. The Law of Divine Oneness
This is the first of the Universal laws and it simply states that all life and energy comes from one source and you are the living expression of this divine source. So, everything is connected irrespective of time or distance. You should be able to recognise and respect the divinity within all things.
What this means is that each and every word spoken, decision made or action taken has an impact on the Universe. Be empathetic.
2. The Law of Vibration
Have you ever tried to do something but you “didn’t feel it”? Or been to a place but felt “negative vibes” about it? Well this is The Law of Vibration at work. It states that all things in the Universe vibrate, move and travel in circular motions. And this same principle applies to our thoughts, emotions and even desires. And each thought, emotion or even feeling has its own unique vibrational frequency.
Similar vibrations attract each other; this is how it connects to The Law of Attraction. Similar vibration frequencies always attract. And different frequencies don’t attract. This is why you may not feel some people, places or activities, the vibrational energy could just be different.
3. The Law of Correspondence
What this law states is that your outer world is a direct reflection of your inner world. Your inner thoughts and feelings determine your outward experience. Another concept connected to this law has to do with with the saying ‘as above, so below’ – your thoughts in the physical world create something in the nonphysical world and what is created in the nonphysical world must manifest in the physical world. In other words, thoughts become things.
4. The Law of Inspired Action
This is simply one of the 12 Universal Laws that helps actualise success. Just as it sounds, it is the inspired manifestation of your thoughts, ideas or dreams. You most likely have dreams and a vision of what you want your life to be like. But this won’t happen without some action. If you experience a seemingly impossible struggle, then it may mean that you are not aligned to this goal and that may require you to seek another source of inspiration. What is meant to work for you may not come easily, but it will always find a way to thrive because it will be aligned with your goal.
Whatever your goals may be, you have to actively pursue them with an inspired deliberation.
5. The Law of Cause and Effect
Every action has an equal reaction. You reap what you sow. Karma. Every religion has a name for it. It is as straightforward as it sounds.
What you do in your spiritual life has a direct impact on the world around you, be it good or bad. And what you do in the world around you also has a direct impact on your spirituality. The kind of energy you give, whether positive or negative, will return to you.
This should simply inspire you to take responsibility for your actions and to think before you act.
6. The Law of Compensation
As mentioned earlier, there is an intricate connection between all the laws, no matter how many Universal laws there are. This particular law is like an extension of The Law of Cause and Effect. You get back what you give to others and to the Universe. If you want to receive more of what you love, then be what you want to see. Give love, get back love. Give positive energy, get back positive energy. Support people and the Universe around you, and you will indeed get back as much support as you need.
Be generous and share in any way that you can. It will come back to you.
7. The Law of Attraction
This is the most popular law and it teaches you how to bring the kind of people, success, dreams and events you wish to have to reality. Sounds so close to the law of action, right? When you constantly think, feel or do certain things, you create a vibration of energy that eventually attracts similar vibration frequencies. Staying proactive and positive attracts similar energies around you. On the other hand staying with fear, laziness or negativity will unfortunately attract similar negative energies.
To keep away negative energy even on a day you feel less motivated, focus your mind and activities on things that bring you joy and positivity.
You attract what you focus your mind on.
8. The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy
This is another very important law, even according to Herbert Harris’ best-selling 12 Universal Laws book where he explains that you have the power to change any situation in your life if you’re not satisfied or happy with it. Higher vibrations are able to consume lower vibrations.
What this means is if you realize you’re not in a good place, you can refocus your thoughts, energies and actions towards what you desire. These vibrations will overpower the unpleasant vibrations and eventually you will find yourself in a better flow.
This is possible because as mentioned earlier in this article, everything around us gives an energy that is in constant motion.
9. The Law of Relativity
This law teaches that everything is neutral, when standing alone. Comparison to something else is what makes it small or big, ugly or beautiful, long or short and so forth. In this regard, when challenges come, because they will, you must remember that yours is not the biggest problem, someone else has a bigger problem. Therefore it’s all relative.
It’s all about looking within yourself to find that strength to face these challenges. Your heart carries enough energy to handle any challenge you may face. Don’t search for it outside.
10. The Law of Polarity
This is the law that helps you focus. Unless you saw darkness you wouldn’t appreciate light. Cold makes you appreciate warmth. Joy or sorrow, everything has an opposite and this knowledge lets you best discern and appreciate your world and universe, it helps you focus on the side that you want to be on.
You have all the ability within you to suppress negativity by focusing your energy on the opposite side to bring positive change. Even during a breakup or failure in a particular area, you are able to view both sides and make better choices next time.
11. The Law of Rhythm
“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven”
The “divine creator” or “source” of everthing that is in accordance with your beliefs, rooted in science or not, made all things in cycles. Consider weather patterns, growth patterns, biological processes and the Universe in general. All things and all energy vibrate to a certain rhythm of patterns and cycles. It goes even deeper in your individual life. You have happy times and sad times, successful times and not very successful times. It is all part of the interconnected Universe.
It is therefore important to raise your frequency to that of higher vibrational energies in order to manifest them in real life.
12. The Law of Gender
This does not necessarily refer to biological gender. But within you, there is both feminine and masculine energy.
This law teaches about patience (masculinity) in your daily and long term endeavours, and persistence as you await manifestation (femininity) of whatever effort you put into your work.
For you to effectively become the creator of a life you never want to run way from, you must learn to balance your masculinity and your femininity. This is the only way your goal will be brought to fruition.
There could be 20 Universal Laws, but the 12 above are the main laws which the others are drawn from. This introduction to The 12 Universal Laws and why you need to know them now is important if you desire a more fulfilled life.
And the way to apply these laws is by respecting the world around you and being empathetic to it. You also need to put action on your dreams and visions to get inspired results. This means you have to always take responsibility for your actions and constantly focus on building your positive energy.
In a nutshell, The Law of Attraction can work best if you’re able to grasp the role of all the other 11 Laws. They’re all interconnected and work for the same purpose, which is for you to be able to attract and maintain the energy frequencies that will help bring out the best in you.
